Bipasha Basu’s arch-rival Kareena Kapoor has pipped the Bong bombshell to the post.

Though Bips expressed a desire to learn belly dancing, she never got down to actually doing it.

Bebo is now learning belly dancing for a performance n international film awards event that will take place next month in Macau.

Says a source, “Though Bips proclaimed that she was learning belly dancing, she didn’t have time to learn it before she left for the shoot of All The Best though she did learn swimming and driving.

Now, Kareena will be one up on her as she’s taking belly dancing lessons from Shiamak Davar.

Eho is also choreographing her act. Bebo starts her lessons from tomorrow after returning from Hyderabad.”

Says a source close to Kareena, “Apart from the fact that Bebo’s being paid a whopper she is easily the highest-paid actress in the show lineup. Kareena is pulling out all the stops for her act. It’s an all-out Billu act with a Turkish-Arabian feel.”

The source continues, “Manish Malhotra is designing her outfits. In one of the songs, she will be dressed like an Arabian princess with gold harem pants made of silk, satin and lace. Kareena will perform to Marjaani from Billu . Today she goes to perform for a show, comes back tomorrow, shoots for a jewellery ad shoot and in the evening starts her belly-dancing classes.”

Says Bebo, “I’m performing at the awards this year and am taking belly dancing classes for my act. This will be the first awards event I perform at this year. I’ve become very choosy about where I perform. I am performing at this particular award show as it gives me an international standing.

Also, this awards event celebrates its 10th year and this is the third consecutive year I will be performing for them.” Is she also going to perform for Saif? “Well he’s attending the awards as he’s having a press show for his home production Love Aaj Kal, so he better be watching my act!”

Kareena Kapoor has made no bones about not liking Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. This dislike must have a lot to do with the Karisma- Abhishek breakup and Ash being such a fine replacement of her elder sister Karisma as the Bachchan bahu. She was shocked to know the director actually wanted her to play Aishwarya's youngest sister's part for which the lesser know Piya Rai Choudhary was signed later. Bebo was irked at being offered the fourth lead and vowed never to work with her again. Now when a new Gurinder Chadha film was offered to Kareena she quickly said no without hesitation." Kareena on her part has been a little diplomatic this time around. She says that she'll only take up something that's substantial. She won't go international unless it's something really big and isn't sure whether Gurinder's offer was with Johnny Depp or not as the role didn't interest her at all. All we can say is that Kareena is rocking in B-Town her own way. It's high time she only does her thing and stops thinking so much about the tremendous beauty and international appeal of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. After all, Ash hasn't really cared to react to her cribbing!

New Delhi, Bollywood sisters Karisma and Kareena Kapoor will kick off the second season of Salman Khan-hosted quiz show 'Dus Ka Dum', which will go on air Saturday on Sony channel.

According to a source from the unit, on the show Salman points out the contrast between Karisma and Kareena's personalities.

'Salman said, 'If Karisma was not an actress she would have been a nun',' said the source in a press statement.

A source close to film’s unit said, “Akshay Kumar has already done a music video with an international performer (Snoop Dog for Singh is Kingg). Meanwhile Kareena has struck gold with item songs. So it was felt that she should be in the music video to add a huge luster to Carmen Electra’s very expensive music video, to be shot in Mumbai from February 10.”

Meanwhile Kareena has confirmed the news, who is currently shooting in Philadelphia for Karan Johar’s film. But she didn’t give many details, as she says, “Yes, it’s true that I’ll be there in the music video with Carmen Electra and Akshay. Since I play a part-time model in the film, dancing would be quite in character.”
