A day after a police complaint was filed against him for "hurting religious sentiments" in Islam, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh said Friday that his comments to a magazine were misinterpreted due to a "writing error".

SRKThe First Information Report (FIR) was lodged by the Mumbai Aman Committee (MAC) at the Bandra police station here Thursday after they read in Time'N Style-Luxury that Shah Rukh had listed Prophet Mohammad as one of the most unimpressive personalities in history alongside Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill.

But Shah Rukh said it was a "writing error" and that he had named the Prophet among the most impressive personalities in history.

"Obviously I think that there is no more important figure in history than Prophet Mohammad in the most positive way possible. Also, being a Muslim and standing up for the tenets of Islam is my most important agenda. If they (MAC) have seen my interviews on TV about Islam and Prophet Mohammad, they would know it's a writing error and not a thought or view that I believe in," Shah Rukh told IANS in an SMS message.

"For all practical purposes, Prophet Mohammad is the most important positive figure in Islam," he added.

A corrigendum from the magazine was also published across Mumbai newspapers Thursday wherein the magazine accepted the error.

The corrigendum stated: "This is with reference to the interview with Shah Rukh Khan that featured in Time'N Style-Luxury Vol-1 issue: The answer to question 'According to you (Shah Rukh) who is the most impressive figure in history?' should have appeared as: 'There are lots of them. Some negative ones like Hitler. Then Napoleon, Winston Churchill were impressive.

" 'If I can call it history then most impressive, positive figure Prophet Mohammad and from recent times there are the nice ones like Nelson Mandela, Gandhiji and Mother Teresa.' This is a clarification and the error is deeply regretted."

An official from the Bandra police station, however, confirmed that the FIR had not been withdrawn even after the corrigendum was published.

shahrukh-aishwaryaKaran Johar’s birthday party on Monday night was a night of patch-ups. Especially for the Bachchan boy. Vivek Oberoi and he hugged each other, he exchanged hellos with Karisma Kapoor and chatted at length with SRK.But the surprise patch-up of the evening was between Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. How things went bad Says a source present at the party, “After Shah Rukh dropped Aishwarya unceremoniously from his home production Chalte Chalte, she never forgave or forgot that. Things between them got worse when SRK and Gauri were not invited to the AbhiAsh wedding.

But the final straw was reports of Shah Rukh having said unflattering things about Ash during a verbal war with Salman, last year. While Salman maintained that SRK had made debasing comments about Ash, SRK swore that he had too much respect for women to demean them. At the time, Shah Rukh had called the Bachchans’ family friend Amar Singh and had explained to him that he hadn’t said anything demeaning about the Bachchan bahu, but the damage was done. Battle lines were drawn. Apology accepted But on Monday night, when Karan brought them together, both sides decided to put aside their differences and make a fresh start. Says a source, “A few minutes into the conversation with Ash, SRK apologised to her.” He said, ‘I think I owe you an apology because in some way I have wronged you.”

Ash gracefully accepted the olive branch offered. After that, Abhishek, Ash, Shah Rukh and Gauri stuck together — dancing, chatting and laughing. As the party wound up, Gauri asked her usual group of friends back home to continue the party there. She also invited Ash and Abhishek to come along, and they all piled into one car and headed for Mannat. Other couples like Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, Kajaal Anand and Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia joined them later. The group partied at SRK’s home till 6 am and left after having breakfast.” Happy endings are so much fun.

It's easy to stop a fight between two young boys but not so with experienced and veteran guys. Now that the fight between the two top Khans in Bollywood - Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan has intensified, people in the film industry must be wondering how to doze off the fire.

It all started with light humour before turning into something unhumorous. Aamir wrote in his blog that he had a dog named Shahrukh and that he licked his feet everyday for attention. That invited wrath from everyone, including his fans, and he ended up apologising.

King Khan than declared that he is the biggest brand in Indian film industry. Aamir hit back by saying that he would like to know from Shahrukh how it feels to be the No.2 actor. The duo then tried to project themselves as friends to the public but the true colour keep surfacing everytime they try to hide.

Shahrukh recently said that he dropped the idea of calling his dog as Aamir after his wife Gauri stopped him. He has finally broken the silence by saying that some of the statements made by Aamir are not humorous. And Aamir is not going to remain silent. He hit back by saying that Shahrukh has lost all his humours after his films failed to do well at the box office. He asked where were Shahrukh's humours when he was saying something humorous about him.

Certainly there is no humour in the statements of the Khans. They seem to be turning something they call humour to something harmful.
